Believe it or not, I got this from my daughter’s Paula Dean cookbook!  It was so delicious!!  There was no nutritional information, but I’m guessing its 1 point per cup of beans.

2 pounds snap green beans

2 cups fat free chicken broth

2 tsp House Seasoning (recipe to follow)

1. Snap the ends off the beans and place them in a medium pot.  Pour in the broth and add the House seasoning.  Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 25 minutes, until tender.  Us southerners like our beans soft.  If you want yours crunchy, only cook them for 15 minutes.

House Seasoning:

This is good on most vegetables and just about everything that’s savory 🙂

1 cup salt

1/4 cup pepper

1/4 cup garlic powder

Mix all in a small bowl.  Store in airtight container.
