Dark Chocolate chunk cookies

1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour

¾ tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

1/3 cup butter, softened

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1 egg

2 tsp vanilla

4 ounces dark chocolate, coarsely chopped (about ¾ cup)

¼ cup chopped walnuts, toasted

Preheat oven to 350.

Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.

In a large bowl, beat butter with a mixer at medium speed until fluffy.  Add brown sugar, beating until blended.  Add egg and vanilla, beating just until blended.

Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture, stirring just until combined; fold in chocolate and walnuts.  Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto baking sheets coated with spray.

Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes.  Yields 58 cookies.  1 cookie is 1 point.
