Well, I’ve finally done it. I’ve become one of those annoying people that used to be fat, lost the weight, and now wants to help other people do the same thing. I joined Weight Watchers in October 2008 and by the end of 2009, I had met my goal. I went from a size 18 to a size 2, dropped 80 pounds and discovered running. I’m now training for my first marathon! I have a passion for cooking and exercising and I hope to bring that passion to this blog and help others that are like me. I wanted to be the person I am today, but I just didn’t know how to get there.
Congrats on the new blog. Looks interesting. I’ll be sure to check in frequently.
You are awesome and an inspiration to everyone!
This is really great. I’m so proud of you. I’m going to share this with my WW friends here at work to give them encouragement. Only thing is you are even smaller now than when you took the red dress pictue. But the red dress looks so good on you in this picture and the difference is dramatic. I love the blog. I’m so impressed!!! Love you.

Just like everybody else, I am very proud of you that you were able to lose the weight by yourself but I think it is also amazing that you are willing to inspire others and help them reach their weight loss and strengthening goals. 🙂
I am looking forward to trying out your recipes, now that I have time again (hopefully!) – Getting tired of the same meals.
You are an amazing person. Anyone who listens and takes the advice will do very well. I hope i turn out as good.
Hey Shelly and of course you look great. Sorry it took me so long to check your blog out. I’ll be looking for ways to give up my cokes????
Nancy, you and your cokes! Can you do diet coke? I drink Crystal Light…I’m addicted to the strawberry orange banana flavor. Just remind yourself those cokes are depleting the calcium for your bones!!! Good luck 🙂
I am so excited to read your blog! You are true inspiration to me. I started at a 20W and am now a size 10! I can’t wait to be as small as you. I have lost 69 pounds doing what you are doing! Thanks so much for the encouragement! KEEP IT UP!
Leah, you are also an inspiration to me and many others! I’m so proud of you 🙂 And all your new, healthy habits will trickle down to your kids. They will benefit so much from watching you. Thats when its all worth it to me.
Hey,
Gordon just told me about your site.
